Murasaki Park Kasama is one of few full-concrete parks and has both street and park competition sections. It is a facility which can hold international competitions. It has a wide area of flat space where anyone from beginners to professionals can skate. Lessons such as skate practice for super-beginners, where the most basics such as how to correctly ride on a skateboard or how to fall off, how to push by keeping balance with one leg, and BMX practice for super-beginners, where the most basics such as how to correctly ride a BMX bike, how to use the brake and how to go over the obstacles, are also offered.
FISE stands for Festival International du Sport Extreme in French, which means “International Extreme Sports Festival” and it is an international urban sports festival where more than 25 kinds of urban sports come together. In Japan, it was held in Hiroshima for the first time in April 2018, and the seven events of BMX freestyle (park/flatland), skateboard street, parkour, bouldering, roller freestyle, and breakin’ came under the spotlight. The next event is scheduled for March 2022.
