livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK

Inheriting the legacy of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, comprising various difficulty levels

Located in Ariake in Tokyo's Bay Area, livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK is a sports and leisure complex that opened in October 2024, featuring a skateboard park and other sports facilities, outdoor athletic facilities, stores, and restaurants. This was the venue for the skateboarding and BMX competitions at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and today retains the legacy of urban sports.

The skateboard park is largely divided into a "Park Area," "Street Area" and "Flat Area," covering an area of approximately 3,570 square meters. The "Park Area" is a full-size skateboard park measuring approximately 51 m x 33 m, characterized by its steep, curved and concave terrain.

The "Street Area" measures approximately 51 m x 37 m, featuring many linear sections (structures) that resemble stairs, railings and slopes, and is used as a place for advanced players to hone their skills. The straight, flat course of the "Flat Area" allows beginners to practice their pushes (kicking off the ground with a skateboard) and basic tricks.

Night-time facilities are available and can be used until 9:00 p.m. In addition to skateboards, helmets and sets of knee, elbow and wrist are available for rent for a casual skateboarding time. BMX and inline skates are also available for use in the park.

Activities as well as art. Tokyo Bay Area sightseeing to stimulate the senses

In addition to the skateboard park, "livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK" includes a dedicated facility for sport climbing and bouldering, where visitors can climb courses built on walls less than 5 meters in height. Two walls are available, each approximately 35 meters wide, offering a variety of routes. Climbing shoes and other equipment are available for rent. Other sports facilities include a dedicated 3x3 basketball court, a 90 m, 6-lane all-weather running track, and many other facilities for those who are seeking even more opportunities to exercise.

Another recommended stop is "teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM.com," which draws more than 2.5 million visitors every year, including many tourists from around the world. Designed with cutting-edge digital technology, this art museum has won international travel industry awards and received high acclaim, featuring "Water" where you walk through barefoot, and "Garden" that is decorated with flowers—"Forest," a new immersive artwork to walk through, opened in 2025. Making full use of projection mapping and interactive digital art, these artworks are full of surprises and stimulate the senses to the utmost.

Savor gourmet delights at Toyosu Market, one of the world's largest public markets

"Toyosu Market" is an approx. 15-minute walk from "livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK." Opened in 2018 to replace "Tsukiji Market," Toyosu Market is one of the world's largest public markets, covering an area of 407,000 m² and comprising three main buildings—the Fruit and Vegetables Building, the Intermediate Fisheries Wholesale Market Building, and the Management Facilities Building. The Visitors' Course and food, beverage, and merchandise stores are open to general visitors, and depending on the time of day, they can also watch the tuna auction from the visitor course in the Fisheries Wholesale Market Building. More than 35 restaurants, including sushi, tempura, pork cutlet, curry, eel, and soba, are scattered throughout the market, and visitors can visit them in an efficient manner by checking the information boards located throughout.

Established in 1962, "Daiwa-Zushi" remains unchanged even since relocating from Tsukiji to Toyosu, and is still a famous restaurant frequented by fish professionals and VIPs. Each piece of Edomae Sushi is prepared right in front of you, and is incredibly fresh. Thick slices of tuna in particular are exquisite, offering distinct flavors of the fish.

"Coffee Senriken" established in 1914 also relocated from Tsukiji to Toyosu, and has long been a favorite of those working at the market. The cream stew is its signature dish, served with a soft-boiled egg that you break open yourself—the homemade pudding is also very popular. Toyosu Market also has a wide variety of other culinary delights on offer.
